In October 2013 white grapes prices from Rioja increased disproportionately. Many wineries of the region went to other areas of Spain to purchase white wine at more competitive prices. Following this pilgrimage, Bodegas Puelles launched ATRON. It is about offering our clients a high quality white wine at a very good price.
By not using any D.O. we acquire the best wherever it is, even combining different varieties and origins. The variety has its origin in France but is present in many countries. It is one of the finest varieties for white wines, it has a certain similarity with Viura and Verdejo in terms of fresh acidity, greenish citrus flavors but with more elegance if the grape has had good maturity.
